I've was looking for solution of simple image processing before upload throughout the whole internet for a long time and managed to find it only here.

Hey Ivan, thanks for your comments.

`fomat "png"` will rename the file, which essentially does a `mv file.jpg file.png` on the file system, I imagine this is what is throwing the permission denied.

I'm not sure of the best way to handle file changes during the upload, sorry.

Actually, I got it handled.

mini_image = MiniMagick::Image.new(params[:card][:image].tempfile.path) mini_image.resize '100x100'

But if I try to convert the image to some format (like this: mini_image.format "png"), I get the "Permission denied @ apply2files" error.
Do you know how I can handle this?

Thanks. Pretty silly that it's a global setting, not something you can quickly toggle on/off for a specific document, though.

This post is so helpful. I have had two severe episodes of sickness and huge temperature spikes and dips after drinking green tea on citalopram. I have never felt so ill and weird. It's definitely a toxic combination.
